Christo Winters - Managing Director

With a track record spanning over 20 years in the property development industry, Christo brings a diverse range of experience, expertise and insight. Having worked and lived across the world, he brings an international perspective and a strong focus on forward thinking solutions.

Prior to establishing Innovate RE, Christo was the founding Managing Director of Global Student Accommodation - Japan. Christo moved to Japan in early 2014 to successfully established GSA’s business in Japan, before returning to Australia in late 2016. During his time in Japan, Christo led the development and execution of GSA’s strategy for the Japan Market. Christo was also a member of GSA’s global executive board, contributing to the business strategy for the organisation globally.

Before moving to Japan, Christo worked with Urbanest Australia as their National Acquisitions Manager, and was instrumental in securing and establishing the majority of Urbanest’s development portfolio during its early stages in Australia.

In addition to his time in Japan, Christo has considerable international experience, having spent 2 years in Vietnam as General Manager of Refico, an Australian backed development company, and 2 years in London with Consolidated Equity, a private equity group investing into a variety of development projects.

Early in his career, Christo worked with Sakkara Group as an analyst and development manager and with PwC and Knight Frank in a variety of asset management and divestment management roles.
